The role of Ukraine’s agricultural exports in ensuring global food security

Abstract

The aim. To conduct a study of the current state and prospects for the development of Ukraine’s agricultural exports, identify key challenges associated with geopolitical and economic factors, and determine strategies for overcoming obstacles to strengthen the country’s role in ensuring global food security. Methods. The study employed scientific research methods, including the analysis of domestic and international scientific literature, legal and regulatory acts, statistical data, an economic-statistical approach, comparative analysis, and the generalization of obtained information to assess export dynamics and its impact on global food resources. Results. The research revealed that Ukraine is a significant player in the global agricultural market, ensuring the stability of supplies of key crops that play a decisive role in the global food system.The analysis showed that the economic potential of exports remains high, contributing to foreign exchange earnings and supporting the national economy. In addition, it was found that innovative approaches to logistics organization, such as the use of land corridors and cooperation with international partners, make it possible to overcome obstacles associated with port blockades. The study emphasized the importance of diversifying sales markets, which ensures the sustainability of exports under conditions of instability.Conclusions. The study confirmed the strategic role of Ukraine’s agricultural exports in ensuring global food security, identifying it as an important factor in the stability of world markets. The obtained results indicate the need for further diversification of export directions and the introduction of innovative solutions to overcome logistical barriers.It is noted that active participation in international projects and support for humanitarian initiatives contribute not only to economic growth but also to strengthening the country’s geopolitical status. It is proposed to expand cooperation with international organizations to ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and increase its competitiveness on the global stage.
