Corn plant productivity indices for different methods of fertilizer application
Abstract
Aims. To determine the formation of productivity indices based on the photosynthesis indicators of the total capacity of corn depending on the methods of fertilization. Methods. Laboratory, measurement, comparative, analysis, statistical. Results. The use of fertilizers with a nitrogen component significantly increased the chlorophyll content in corn leaves throughout all years of research. On average, over three years of research, the chlorophyll content increased from 45.0 to 52.3 % depending on the experiment variant or by 16 % without the use of foliar feeding. The use of the drug Brexil Mix 1.5 l/ha increased the chlorophyll content to 45.6–54.4 % or by 1–3 % compared to areas without foliar feeding. With a double application of this drug, this indicator increased to 46.3–53.9 % or by 2–3 % compared to areas without foliar feeding, but was at the level of areas with a single application of Brexil Mix 1.5 l/ha. The level of plant stress changed little compared to areas where fertilizers were applied. In addition, this indicator was almost at the same level throughout the years of research. The nitrogen-flavonoid index of corn leaves significantly increased with the application of fertilizers with a nitrogen component and foliar feeding. Thus, against the background of the application of only complete mineral fertilizer, the nitrogen-flavonoid index increased to 1.90–2.17 units. p. or by 28–46 % compared to the control option. A single foliar feeding ensured the formation of a nitrogen-flavonoid index of up to 2.00–2.53 units. p. against 1.59 units. p. in the control. Under the condition of twotime foliar feeding, the nitrogen-flavonoid index increased from 1.61 to 2.35–2.68 units. p. Conclusions. The chlorophyll content and the nitrogen-flavonoid index significantly increase from the use of complete mineral fertilizer. At the same time, the stress level of corn plants changes little from the use of fertilizers. It should be noted that the nitrogen-flavonoid index also significantly increases from foliar feeding with the Brexil Mix preparation. The chlorophyll content increases to a lesser extent, and the stress level almost does not change.
